Steel Case Penny Set
Do you know what a "Steel Case Penny" is? It is a rather interesting finding. A Steel Case Penny is a United States Lincoln penny minted from 1944 to 1946. As the seconf world war was ending, cartridge cases were recovered so that pennies could be minted. Thus, what was minted was a "Steel Case Penny." After the war, coins were then made of the same metals that comprised the penny as before. Many who are coin collectors may not know of these. However, seasoned collectors do, and it is a rather curious bit of history. For those who are interested in these Steel Case Pennies, a complete set is being eRaffled for free.
